The Deputy Minister of National Economy of the Palestinian Authority Abdel Hafiz Nofal and the Consul General of France in Jerusalem Frederic Desagneaux inaugurated on Monday 30th, January, 2012 in Bethlehem, the Hazboun Media Center, designed for the digital printing of labels and packaging for various products of the pharmaceutical and food industries.
This project, which incorporates French equipment, has been financed by a donation from France as part of its support to the Palestinian private sector. It will meet a demand that was not fulfilled so far by any Palestinian company.
As the Consul General recalled on this occasion, the support to the private sector is a top priority of the French cooperation in the Palestinian Territories. In September 2010, France has established a 5 million euros grant protocol to finance the Palestinian private sector. 7 projects have already been financed through six accredited Palestinian banks and several other projects are in the process of examination or elaboration.
